It’s August. Our garden is teeming with fresh produce. You know what we always say: if you can’t eat ‘em, drink ‘em. Okay. We’ve never said that. We, though, have done it. We did it last night.
We got feisty and went experimenting again. We call this whiskey cocktail the “Cucumber Mint Mash.” With fresh cucumber and mint from our garden, it’s hard to imagine a more crisp and refreshing adult beverage.
Cucumber Mint Mash
Ingredients
- Four cucumber slices
- Two tablespoons of blue agave nectar
- Four ounces of whiskey
- One ounce of lime juice
- One ounce of lemon juice
- Four ounces of ginger beer
Directions
In a cocktail shaker, combine cucumber slices and blue agave nectar. Mash with a muddler. Add whiskey, lime juice, and lemon juice. Place on lid, and shake vigorously. Pour into two rocks glasses over ice. Top off two ounces of ginger beer per glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice and mint leaf.
