If you must know, we at G@H actually do use them for a real-life purpose. This humble blog. Have you ever noticed how large some rooms often look in photos on real estate websites? The photographer uses a fish-eye lens—a wide angle lens that captures much more in the peripheral space. For instance, here are pictures taken of our holiday decorations. We shot both from the same spot—the first with our ordinary iPhone and the second with the fish-eye lens.

And the micro lens allow you to capture the tiniest details. Here are photos of the cork from a magnificent bottle of Turley Petite Syrah. The first photo is with our ordinary iPhone-as close as it can focus. The second and third are with the micro and super micro lens, respectively.
