Nuance 4-Piece Bar Accessory Set

Nuance 4-Piece Bar Accessory Set

Cost: $49.95 We built a bar. It serves as a source of great pride. It holds 32 bottles of wine. It houses our pint glasses and rocks glasses and red wine glasses and white wine glasses and shot glasses. Least we forget, the champagne flutes. There is also the vital component to any bar: our collection of spirits, especially bourbon. We particularly like bourbon. A bottle of bourbon only gets us so far, though. If we really want to entertain, if we really want to impress, we need to be able make a fine cocktail. That requires an assortment of bitters, mixers, herbs and fruit. It also means barware. How do you differentiate between a gentleman and a plain, ordinary man? Many ways exist — too many to list here. But, look for barware. If he has the equipment to...

Blanton’s Bourbon

Blanton’s Bourbon

The holiday season is a time to celebrate. And, when we say celebrate, we mean celebrate. Gather your friends and family. Revel in our blessings. Drink and be merry. Very, very merry. A worthy host should offer a topnotch libation. A proper guest should arrive bearing gifts. Whichever you are, let us suggest Blanton’s Bourbon. It ranks as our buddy Ben’s favorite bourbon. And, if you don’t trust him, we promise: Blanton’s was a true hit at our Thanksgiving. Your people—whoever and wherever they are—will love it too. Moreover, they’ll revere you for supplying it. You bet you’ll find Blanton’s in our home bourbon bar

You bet you’ll find Blanton’s in our home bourbon bar

We’re not into selfies. It’s not our thing. We don’t get SnapChat. But, we do like to trade a certain genre of texts with our buddies. We call them “bourbon pics.” You know. “Check out what I uncorked!” “A great pour!” “It tastes like butterscotch!” “I can’t feel my feet!” All exclamation points all the time. Recently, our good friend Ben sent us a shot of the most gorgeous bottle. It had a lovely globe shape. Handwriting on its slender, beige label noted the whisky’s dump date, its barrel number and even the alcohol proof. And, the cork. Mounted atop the cork was a jockey on horseback. “Nice, but can she dance?” we questioned. “My favorite bourbon. Hands down,” he responded Ben knows whisky. Ask his wallet: he really knows good bourbon. So, when he recommended Blanton’s, we had to...

Home Decorating with the Pride of Chippewa Falls

Home Decorating with the Pride of Chippewa Falls

You want your home to reflect the dynamism of you. Your style. Your creativity. Your vigor and gusto.  You may have painted your den the ideal shade of squirrel grey. You may have invested a week’s salary in a mid-century modern sofa from West Elm. Yet, something is off. The room feels lacking, rather empty. Panic not.  You've scored the touchdown. All you need now is the extra point. A few pieces of small décor can finish a room brilliantly.  Of course, small décor can befuddle us gentlemen. We don’t understand the utility of decorative lanterns or glass jars filled with fake rocks covered in fake moss. At G@H, we enjoy decorating with beer paraphernalia. When you happen upon a coaster for a beloved beer, swipe it. Take it home. Stick it in a frame. Place it next to a...
