Somewhere Someone Is Eating Green Tea Ice Cream. It Should Be You.

Somewhere Someone Is Eating Green Tea Ice Cream. It Should Be You.

It’s November. It’s cold. It’s dark and dreary. And, we just made ice cream. Why? Shut your mouth. No one likes a cynic.

Matcha Green Tea Powder

We made ice cream because ice cream is joy. Joy knows no season. We made ice cream to celebrate living. Living knows no season. We made ice cream because we can. Canning, well, canning does have a season, but doing can be done anytime.

We at G@H enjoy experimenting with flavor. While we like traditional vanilla, the concept of homemade green tea ice cream captivated us. The internet says that people in Japan love it. Now, so do we. The secret ingredient is matcha powder available on Amazon.com. Here’s our gentlemanly recipe.

Green Tea Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs;
  • 3 cups of heavy whipping cream;
  • 1 cup of sugar; and
  • 3 teaspoons of matcha powder

Directions

Mix the ingredients ensuring that the matcha powder fully dissolves. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for an hour. Then, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and let it do its thing. We use a SPT KI-15 Self-Refrigerated Ice Cream Maker.

We’re highly jealous that somewhere someone, who is not us, is eating green tea ice cream. For your own sake, let it be you.
