We’d be lying to our loyal readers if we claimed that we understood the pricing system for shoes on Amazon. The very same shoe costs different amounts depending on size. It must relate to excess stock. Regardless, if you are willing to invest time, you can score solid deals.
We recently purchased a pair of these Marc Joseph Wall Street Driver loafers in size 10.5 for $38.34. As we are writing this article, though, they are available in that size for $30.49. For size 11, they are $53.81, and for size 10, they are $81.94.
Do we have the magic size of feet? No, probably not. We bought them in “Ash Grey Grainy”. If we wanted “Navy Suede”, then we’d have been SOL. Size 10.5 costs $54.91, while size 10 costs $20.85 and size 11 costs $21.63. Although strange, this is not uncommon. A discerning shopper, such as yourself, can use it to an advantage.
Price is important to us because we are hard on shoes. We trudge. That’s the most accurate description of how we walk. We drag our feet. We bump into things. We’ve tried to lift our feet and watch where we step. Those are noble ambitions. They just aren’t happening. For us, expensive shoes are a bad idea; they won’t last long on these feet.
We hunt for deals, and when we spot them, we strike. More accurately, we click. Some arrive and disappoint us. They look tacky or don’t fit or have another deficiency. But, they can be returned, and no harm is done. These Marc Joseph Wall Street Driver loafers, however, pleased us. Oh, and they are available in “Brown Suede” in size 10.5 for $31.07, so a second purchase may occur forthwith.
