Everything’s Peachy. At least for another two weeks.

Everything’s Peachy. At least for another two weeks.

A basketful of farm fresh peaches

The season for local, right-off-the-tree peaches is waning. Seriously, you have two weeks left. Perhaps, three. All fruit is better fresh, but words can little describe the difference between a fresh peach and frozen peach chucks. This weekend, patronize a local farmer’s market, bring home a bushel of peaches and end summer with a juicy exclamation point.

We add peaches to our morning Greek yogurt and granola. We use them as a compliment to vanilla ice cream. Like champagne? Last week, we were treated to pureed peach mimosas.
