“Early June” Cocktail with Ripe Strawberries, Fresh Mint, and—of course—Whiskey

“Early June” Cocktail with Ripe Strawberries, Fresh Mint, and—of course—Whiskey

June is upon us. Summer has begun. When we retire each evening from a hard day’s labor, we yearn to sit on our back porch, bask in the warm weather, and sip a delicious cocktail. There, we survey our kingdom and reflect on our triumphs. Most of all, we savor the delicious whiskey. Other spirits are pleasant too. But, whiskey, usually whiskey, is our jam.

As inquisitive blokes, we search out new concoctions. We mix. We modify. We experiment. Some recipes fail. Although with whiskey as the core component, failure is relative. Other recipes soar, earning a coveted spot in the rotation.

Being June, and having a garden brimming with early arrivals, we decided to incorporate ripe strawberries and fresh mint into our Friday night cocktail. The result? Great success! We’ve dubbed it “Early June.”
