We like a standard roller bag as much as the next bloke. But sometimes we want to exude some style. We want a little swagger in our travel. That’s why we bought this leather overnight bag from KomalC. Admittedly, it’s pretty cool—and we feel pretty cool carrying it.
It’s got plenty of pouches and pockets. There is a separate space for a pair of shoes, but the space collapses if you are traveling with only the shoes on your feet (or shoeless like Joe Jackson). The bag has a side pocket for whatever you need quick access to or want to be otherwise segregated. There’s even a not-so-secret secret compartment.
We referred to it as an overnight bag, but that description seems to minimize its utility. A weekend bag would prove a superior moniker. It fits a couple of days’ worth of clothes, toiletries and accessories. If you need more than that, well, no judgments, but you’ll have to use bigger luggage and check it. We hate checking luggage. This bag is the perfect size for a carryon.
The only drawback identified by us is that you’ve got to lug it; it does not roll. That shouldn’t surprise. It seems like, well, the point. But have you tried lugging a bag around the airport or on public transportation or across a resort? It’s more work than we remember, kind of a pain in the neck.
