We're not wearers of jewelry. After getting married, though, we had a ring to wear and to keep track of while not wearing. The problem is that we lose things we're not used to wearing.
For instance, glasses. We have 20/30 vision with a stigmatism in one eye and don’t always need corrective lens. But, they help to read and to drive at night. Over the past three years, we've purchased three of the same pair of glasses from Warby Parker. We love the style so much and would be devastated if we lost them and could not replace them. We’ve considered buying several more pairs just to hold in reserve.
And, jackets. We lose jackets. It’s a 50/50 proposition that we’ll leave with a jacket if we showed up with a jacket. In the winter, when we arrive jacket-less, it’s likely because we’re “between” them at the moment.
Losing accessories is a real issue for us. When we got married, we had great anxiety about misplacing our wedding ring. Solution? There are two. First, we selected an affordable wedding ring made of tungsten.
Second, we purchased this Pewter Elephant Ring Holder, which showcases our wedding ring while we sleep or do yardwork or exercise. Who are we kidding? We don’t exercise.
Two years into marriage, we’ve retained our original ring. Great success!
