We got married in October. It was a wondrous, exhilarating affair. We’d love to regale you with tales of the pageantry and merriment of it all. Perhaps, we will write that article someday. This article is not about our wedding, though. This article is about a gift that we received from an attendee at the wedding. They gave us an Anker 20W Premium Stereo Bluetooth Portable Speaker.
We added the speaker onto our registry because (a) we needed a Bluetooth speaker; (b) it was white, which matched our kitchen, and low profile, which comported with our general lack of flamboyance; and (c) it had excellent reviews on Amazon. In fact, 67% of reviewers heralded it as five-star worthy; another 18% bestowed four stars upon it. Only a measly 15%—three out of twenty people—gave it three stars of less. And, the reviews carried headlines like, “may be one of the best under promoted and over delivering products”, “Your search ends here”, and “Travelers, look no further your portable sound system is here!”
We consider ourselves discerning gentlemen. We don’t chase the migrating hordes for the sake of conformity. But, when it comes to aggregated reviews, like on Amazon, we find the masses to be on point. That is, if thousands of people have reviewed a product and it has over four stars, the item likely satisfies expectations. And, this Anker 20W Premium Stereo Bluetooth Portable Speaker did not disappoint.
It is less than 8.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall. For such a petite frame, it produces big sound, especially the kitchen-shaking bass. It can get loud and do so without sacrificing fidelity. We have never experienced a problem with the Bluetooth connectivity. It streams cleanly and without interruption. The manufacturer claims that the battery will survive six hours of continuous streaming. We have yet to spend six hours straight in our kitchen listening to music. But, if you add up 30-minute intervals, that sounds about right. And, as its name indicates, it is portable. We kidnapped it for a weekend in Colorado where it filled the cabin with melodious vibrations.
If you are getting married soon, or just want a solid Bluetooth speaker, we gentlemanly recommend this Anker 20W Premium Stereo Bluetooth Portable Speaker. Thanks, Amanda and Kyle!
