We don’t know when you are reading this post because we’re not omniscient. But we’re authoring it at a time when COVID-19 is resurging because of the Delta variant. That means we’re back to spending most of our time at home. That’s not ideal. But we’ll do what we need to do—and to help us do it, or at least keep things interesting, we’ll continue making impulse buys of gadgets and toys that pique our curiosity. Know what we really love? Gadgets for our gadgets. Yeah, we already had a rotisserie for our Weber grill. Now, we’ve acquired an onlyfire Stainless Steel Rotating Skewer System that fits onto the rotisserie spit.

What to do with it? Make killer kebabs. We used this recipe from RecipeTin Eats to create a marinade for chicken thigh meat. After a couple hours in the refrigerator, we loaded the chicken onto the skewers and then mounted the skewers onto the rotisserie. We cooked them about 20 minutes until the chicken looked sufficiently charred but not overcooked. Feel free to use a thermometer, removing at 165°. But a great thing about chicken thigh meat is that it does not dry out.
