We usually encourage our fellow gentlemen to cook. We experiment culinarily. When it works out, and occasionally it does, we posts photos and explain how we did it. We didn’t make this lemon cake. We couldn’t have made this lemon cake. We bought it, and it was delicious.
Somehow, we had lived 33 years on this magnificent planet without tasting lemon cake. Much blame falls on our parents’ shoulders. For all the good that they did, they did not feed us lemon cake. That’s an inescapable and unfortunate truth. But, our decade and a half of adulthood, we take responsibility for that period. We should have explored more. We should sought out lemon cake and eaten the hell out of it. What’s that song lyric? Regrets, we’ve had a few.
Lemon cake takes you on a journey of flavor and texture. The filling is rich and creamy. The cake is spongy and slightly sweet. The icing is refreshingly tart. Together, it delivers a balanced yet decadent dessert experience. You will not walk away unfulfilled. But, it doesn’t feel like sugar bomb.
Maybe, you count yourself among the enlightened, and you’ve know about lemon cake forever. Congratulations. If not, though, we welcome you to hop aboard the lemon-cake train.
